I set up Oast & Rye as I had 3 holiday lets and wanted to supply them with luxury toiletries that I tried to source elsewhere but couldn’t quite find what I wanted. I came up with the name as I thought it was synonymous with Kent and Sussex which is where we are based.

I supply to other holiday homes and the business then grew as people staying would ask where they could buy the products.  I have a passion for candles and wanted a strong scent without the strong price tag.

All our products are parabens free and vegan friendly.  People can bring back their old bottles and can get them topped up here. The same with the candles. All the plastic bottles are BPA free and we also supply amber glass bottles for kitchen and loos (for safety reasons not in a shower)! 

All the candles are individually hand poured by our chandler here in Kent.
